Abstract
This article describes the BR3 electric power station, which was first connected to the outside electricity net on October 10, 1962. The author describes with some details the main cooling circuit, the auxiliary circuits, the secondary part of the power station, the generators and other electrical installations, the ventilation and the problem of radioactive waste. Finally the article deals with considerations concerning the safety of the BR3, the test methods and the training of the personnel.
