Abstract

This report presents the results of experiments conducted as part of the programme of the Belgian Agency for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials (ONDRAF/NIRAS) on the geological disposal of high-level/long-lived radioactive waste. It corresponds to a deliverable requested by specification sheet RS 15-SCK-HLW-02 – Integrated tests (continuation of integrated tests from programme 2009-2014) - for Research Package "vitrified High-level Wastes" (HLW) in the framework agreement CONTRAT DE R&D "GESTION A LONG TERME DES DECHETS RADIOACTIFS" (SCK ref: CO-90-14-3690-00; N/O ref: CCHO 2015-0304/00/00). This research package is mainly devoted to the study of the effect of a cement buffer on glass dissolution as foreseen in the Supercontainer Design and is performed by SCK•CEN for ONDRAF/NIRAS as client, in the period 2015-2020.
