The nanostructure evolution in Fe–C systems under irradiation at 560 K

Abstract

We developed a model that describes well the defects produced in Fe–C under irradiation. The effect of carbon is effectively described in terms of traps for radiation defects. The model is based on physical considerations and uses only a couple of calibration parameters. Two types of interstitial clusters are simulated using an effective migration energy.
